Fabulous Jewelry Trends For 2014

Fabulous Jewelry Trends For 2014
Jamari Hysaw

This is what’s trending!

Jewelry is a fun and simple solution to update your wardrobe and easily incorporate trends from the runways and red carpets into your personal style. Accessories are a great way of participating in the trendier trends of the season without a costly commitment. With a variety of unique, statement-making pieces available, following the jewelry trends with your own personal twist is easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy. Looking at the recent runway shows and red carpet looks, these are my predictions for the 2014 jewelry trends.

Watches (and watch-inspired pieces)

Since the age of electronics and devices have eliminated the need for a wrist worn timekeeping piece, its nice to see the timeless style make a fresh appearance. Many of spring’s feminine designs are nicely complemented by a menswear inspired watch. Along those lines, designers like Nina Ricci and Miu Miu featured watch inspired jewelry pieces in striking colors.

Geometric Shapes with Primary Colors

The catwalks were filled with jewelry pieces in classic yet striking blues, greens, yellows and reds, situated in geometric shapes. Seen in everything from Celine’s unconventional bracelets, to Kenzo’s cobalt blue spiral necklace, your spring/summer 2014 jewelry collection would be incomplete without a geometric statement piece.

Gold

Everything from gold earrings, to thick gold cuffs, to gold-chained necklaces graced the catwalks and the carpets this season signaling the definite comeback of the classic element. Gold is easily incorporated into a variety of personal styles, and comes in many different shades making it complimentary to many skin tones. For this spring and summer, I’m obsessed with anything rose gold.

Bracelets

Every type of bracelet is acceptable, from thin and dainty, to thick statement making cuffs, to stackable bangles. Whether your bracelets are demure or bold, they are essential to your 2014 jewelry collection.

Iridescent Stones

The holographic, striking stones were seen in many different pieces, from earrings to long and large necklaces. Just think how well they will compliment the muted springs nail colors, love it!
