Michael Dunn Guilty 

Michael Dunn, a 47 year old software developer was found guilty of attempted murder for shooting into a carful of teenagers during a dispute over loud music.

After nearly 30 hours of deliberations over four days, the Florida jury deadlocked on the charge of murder. Dunn was charged with fatally shooting 17 year old Jordan Davis.

Emotions have been high around the country following the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin shooting. In a case in which the basic details are similar, again we see the death of a young black man after a minor dispute.

The trial was the latest to raise questions about race and self defense. We expect to see tensions continue to rise as salacious details surroundings Mr. Dunn’s personal life continue to emerge. Further, according to news reports the prosecution has expressed intent to re-try Mr. Dunn on the deadlocked charge or murder.
