Chloe and Halle Bailey are two lovely and talented sisters from Atlanta. They are always a joy to watch. Whenever finger waving elders launch into another rant about “these kids today”….You can point to Chloe and Halle as an example of beautiful, talented and knowledgable youth. The Radio Disney contest winners, recently covered the song “Strange Fruit” in dedication to Ferguson teenager Michael Brown. Strange Fruit was written by Abel Meeropol in 1937. The most well-known recording is by Bille Holiday. It was written as a protest song against racism and lynchings, which were prevalent in the American South during the first part of the century.
