Colorado Girl Accused of Trying to Poison Mother Twice for Taking Away iPhone
Tough Love Leads to Thoughts of Murder
Once again we see young children and smart phones can be a dangerous mix.
Colorado police arrested a 12 year girl Friday on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder for allegedly trying to poison her mother for taking away her iPhone, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
The preteen has not been identified and is accused of trying to poison her mother twice, once on March 2nd, and then four days later, according to Cmdr. Heidi Prentup, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office.
The woman first felt sick after drinking a smoothie on March 2nd. While she noticed the smell of bleach from her glass, the woman assumed her daughter hadn’t rinsed it properly, according to the sheriff’s office.
Then a few days later, the mother again recognized the smell of bleach coming from something she was going to drink and she confronted her daughter. The girl then allegedly admitted her she wanted to her mother dead because she took away her iPhone.
